Vodafone Idea non-convertible debentures (NCDs) have been downgraded to BBB (one notch above junk) by India Ratings & Research Agency. This is a list of all mutual funds holding these bonds as on Oct 31st 2019.
The bond downgrade, according to the rating agency is because of three reasons (1) The supreme court ruling in favour of the Department of Telecommunications requiring Vodafone to pay INR280 billion in license fees, interest and penalties. (2) risk of banks not giving the firm time to fulfil loan obligations and (3) failure to monetise their assets to meet such obligations
