We have received many questions on the tax slabs for senior citizens in the revised new tax regime from 1st April 2023. The answer is quite simple!
The new tax regime does not distinguish among individuals, senior citizens, super senior citizens and HUFs. All of them get taxed at the same rate!
The new tax regime slab rates applicable for FY 2023-2024 are

| Up to Rs.3 lakh | Nil |
| Above Rs.3 lakh – Rs.6 lakh | 5% |
| Above Rs.6 lakh – Rs.9 lakh | 10% |
| Above Rs.9 lakh – Rs.12 lakh | 15% |
| Above Rs.12 lakh – Rs.15 lakh | 20% |
| Above Rs.15 lakh | 30% |
