If you’ve been through the last few posts, you’ll know that my new book co-authored with Pranav Surya is out for pre-order and we’re running a crazy small experiment of eliminating the middleman (aka Amazon). This enables us to provide you the book at a discounted price of 180 as compared to 249 on Amazon (starts retailing there on Monday). In contrast to what many people tell when they sell a product – “Buy mine because it’s the best”, we are gong to do a small U-turn and give you a few reasons why you shouldn’t buy the book.
Here are they:
- Your finance life is uncluttered, sorted and learning more is like filling an already overflowing bucket
- You already take vacations on the cheap and don’t need tips on finding great flight fares
- You use credit cards optimally and have built a credit score that rivals the best. And with that you know how to get free flights as redeemable rewards, pay lower on home loans or any major loan.
- When the monthly salary hits the bank account, you know where exactly to spend and how to make optimum use of cashflow by balancing future big expenditures with current needs
- You have bought a home, have no debt and are content with the money situation
- You have no aspiration to retire early and have invested enough for years in retirement already
Even if you are remiss (bad) with one of the above pointers, the book’s contents will show you the best ways around the situation. Instead of giving out common answers to such concerns, we’ve tackled each situation head-on and point you to the specific URL that will help you in the best way possible (take action immediately). Over the course of the past few days, our readers have asked some doubts they have.
Here are a few questions that people have posed
- Why is the book so expensive? I can see Chetan Bhagat, Rashmi Bansal and other Business books at lower prices
Unlike traditionally published books, who print the books en-masse with cheap quality paper, we bring you the book at affordable costs and a great quality print. Publishers wanted to charge above 300 for printing a HQ book and that’s why we decided to self publish. Imagine a book, that shows you to live the Rich Life you want, printed on sub-par paper to save costs.
These prices are the best we could afford and we are giving you an even better version of cutting middle-man costs now. If you still feel it’s beyond your budget, kindly wait for the Kindle version. It will come out for a price below 150.
- How will you ship? I’m having concerns. Maybe I should just wait for the book to open on Amazon
As I write this down, we are calling all postal services and requesting quotes from them to post in bulk. As of now, BlueDart has given us the most favourable answer. The book will reach your hands by the end of the month as promised. However, if you are concerned, the book will be Fulfilled by Amazon when it starts retailing there. They will ship it from their warehouse and you can even wait for initial reviews to make sure the book walks the talk.
- I only take domestic vacations. Foreign vacations are out of my reach. What’s the book’s scope there?
Foreign vacations have been mentioned because people perceive it to be extremely expensive while the opposite if often true. Hence we focus on telling that more. However, using the methods outlined in the book and in the travel training kit, your domestic travel budget will definitely reduce by half. The advice there will be in stark contrast to what you’ve been doing previously and you’ll find promotional fares, just like we’ve shared in previous posts. Here’s a domestic promotional fare example
The book will help you make better vacations from anywhere to any destination you desire.
- Do you really enlist a specific fund to invest in? No addendums and RIPFPI as Ashal Jauhari (of FB group Asan Ideas for Wealth fame) says?
Yes. We promised uncluttered personal finance advice and just one fund has been shortlisted. RIPFPI always, but in this case, you can follow my suggestion to get the results desired.
- What’s the difference between the travel toolkit and the travel advice in the book? Why didn’t you put everything in the book?
The travel toolkit contains extended advice that is not found in the book due to editorial constraints. The book will have a very quick primer on the kind of fares that exist, how to find them and a methodology I follow to hunt cheap accommodations. However, the travel toolkit begins with a deep dive about the industry, how to personalize travel to your situation – ex. No time to plan but would like to budget travel with family. Every kind of fare has background info on why they occur and how best to find them. Knowing the background info (the insider knowledge) will help you plan (wait or book right away) and utilize vacation funds appropriately. Then come the options for accommodation with links to each and then it contains the best practices while travelling (ex. How to fund the vacation – setup automatic RD’s, how to move and the like). In my opinion, the 80 you spend on the e-book will pay many times over right away, when you book the flight tickets for at least 30% lower than average fares.
- What if I don’t find a discounted fare within 6 months?
As promised, we’ll return the money (for the e-book) with no question asked. However, discounted fares occur weekly and finding one is a definite. Saying that the fares never went down is saying something akin to ‘all airlines around the world maintained constant prices’ (an illegal practice of market collusion). So sit back, do a quick 3-minute search ritual every day (maybe before you check your mail) as shown and pour my inbox with success stories.
- When will the book reach my hand? I can’t wait to get my hands on it and tell my friends about it
Thank you for your excitement. The book will be shipped ASAP and reach you by the end of the month (when it starts to ship on Amazon)
When asked for reasons for why people chose to buy the book, this is what they said:
I read a random book when I lived in US about a decade ago. The book dealt with how to negotiate and get things done, which also included some financial aspects. Ever since I always wished for a book which tells me how to save money in our dealings with various entities. That is what propelled me to buy this book. Look forward to this book.
I am retiring in one year. During financial planning for retirement, I could not consider international travelling due to shortage of funds. On going through a post “How eating 25 pani puri’s 25 pani puri’s in one-go changed my life (& will change yours too)“, I could see the possibility of fulfilling my dream of international travelling. I hope with the help of the GameChanger book and ‘Pranav’s Travel Training Kit’, I will be able to bring my dream in reality.
Quick & easy to implement tips on money savings and still enjoy a affluent lifestyle.
We are confident that the book fulfils all these earnest desires and outlines a specific process for each.
Here’s the link to buy the book. Remember, it stops selling tomorrow at this price. It goes back to 249 tomorrow midnight.
This book will change the outlook of those who read it. – Murali Vijay, Indian Cricketer
This book changed the way I looked at vacation planning and has provided me with a new perspective when planning for a vacation. Previously, I used to decide a location and then plan a trip, this book gave a new perspective to bucket-list different places and then select the optimum place at a given point of time. The book has provided various accommodation options that I was not aware of. From personal finance planning, I only wish that I had access to this book at the start of my career.
